I'm Max, and I have been living and working in the Pittsburgh area since 1994. I have been into creating and appreciating art as long as I can remember. I began piercing, branding and doing scarification in Florida back in 1983, working with Mike Natali and later with Rob D'alberto. So, after that, tattooing seemed like the next logical step. After working at Gunslingers Tattoo (in Pittsburgh) for several years, I opened Mad Max Tattoo in early 2002. And, after four years at that location, in January 2006, I closed Mad Max Tattoo and I am now working at Sinners & Saints in Shadyside. This move allows me to work with other talented artists, as well as afford me the opportunity to hit the road, travelling and tattooing without being tied down to a shop and business. I truly enjoy the art of tattooing and body modification and believe it reflects in my work. Please browse the site and see for yourself.
